Cynthia's knowledge of locks is priceless. She knows her stuff. She is warm, personable and kind to her customers. Everything that you would want in someone handling your crowning glory. The decor of the shop is another story. Can we say 70's time warp! Frankly, it's hideous. In truth, it doesn't matter too much because every time I go, my hair is given 5 star treatment and I am always pleased. I could do without the motley assortment of noisy male characters who enter the shop, seemingly in various states of inebriation. Cynthia welcomes them nonetheless to spout their rants and nonsense. Apart from this, Back to Eden is THE place to go for your locks care. PROPER LOCKS CARE.

Cynthia is the original, value for money and the best. Your locks are well and truly washed - at least 5 times (my locks was washed a week earlier!), groomed and styled. Long may she reign.

Cynthia knows her stuff. The salon is a bit drab but the customer service is really good which is a really pleasant surprise. I will return when I'm next in London. I live in Holland and we have very few competent lockticians. Back to Eden seems to be the best in London.

I had heard about this "Rasta" (Rastafarian) hairdresser from a friend ages ago but never actually thought to go as I'm not a Rastafarian myself. I recently visited the salon on non-hair related business however and was pleased by what I discovered: Cynthia, the owner/manageress seemed to know the customrs by name and I was surprised to discover that some of these had been coming to her for years (even when she changed addresses!). I decided to give them a try when next I needed to have my own hair done. I must admit I was a bit embarassed as my hair was in a state - I had done nothing with it for ages. Cynthia quickly made me feel at ease however. She did not pass any unkind remarks and her assistant took her time when untangling my hair so as to cause as little pain as possible. I was pleased to note that she only uses natural products instead of all those nasty chemicals we've all been warned about. As I'm a Muslim woman and cover my hair, she even took the precaution of shielding me from the gaze of onlookers. I'm flying out to Jamaica in a couple of days to attend my dad's funeral and have just booked another appointment with Back to Eden in the hope of receiving the same caring and thoughtful treatment as I did before.

Great staff...However there seems to always be a long wait...You will not get seen right on time of your appointment and may have to wait up to a hour before you are seen...But is worth the wait.

Best place for dread locks in Europe. This is the real thing, by people who really understand natural dreads and natural products. African Caribbean owned and run company, but not to the exclusion of customers of other ethnic and cultural backgrounds like myself.
