Have been to the Bell on a couple of occasions and will be going again this evening. We have always found both the food and service to be excellent. Having read a prev reveiw I can agree that no this isn't cheap pub grub so if that is what you are looking for I'd suggest a numbers on tables type chain. I'm afraid you get what you pay for, if you want quality there is a cost. Pity not everyone can appreciate that!

Booked after seeing menu on local website. On arrival only ones there, looked at menu and found prices much dearer than shown on website and very limited choice.Decided not to stop, told staff who instantly turned hostile. This is not a place to go if you want pub grub. Will never go again.

Went for Sunday lunch with wife and friends and 2 kiddies, aged 7 and 2. Beautifully refurbished pub in rural location. Pleasant garden and ample car parking. Great menu with restaurant-style choice rather than traditional pub grub. Food (and Beer) excellent, but no Children's menu as apparently "its not that sort of pub". Smaller portions were available. Could be fantastic if just a bit friendlier.
