The Durham Ox at thimbleby is under new ownership(may 2010),and we are currently closed for refurbishment,due to re-open on 1st July 2010

Chrissie and her husband made us feel very welcome indeed. I am a Coeliac and Dairy Intolerant and they were able to cope with my diet, and that of our guest from the Vatican, who has a milk intolerance. The food was excellent, and exceedingly good value for money. We would recommend the Durham Ox to everyone.
