It's a shame none of the recent customers haven't written a review. The only two reviews were written during the first few weeks of the new landlord ( nearly 3 years ago) We visit The Bell on a regular basis, evening and during the day and the place is always packed. Yes to start with it was quiet in the evenings but as word has spread I'm glad to say it was very busy, first with diners then the locals drinking, very nice. As for the Landlord (Keith) he always makes people welcome. He be daft not to...........it's his living. So come on people....give it a try!!

Completely lacking in a welcoming atmosphere - in fact we were asked to leave after commentiung that the cheap pies heated in the microwave were rather soggy! New Landlord appears to be inexperienced and totally lacking in customer care proceedures! If you don't want to know what people think of your food - DON'T ASK THEM ! Been using this place for over 30 years, but that is the last time - never been spoken to so rudely in any establishment before. What a shame!

Excellent pub food which we enjoyed. (and more extensive menu if one wishes. Over 50s lunchtime menu at very good price.) Evening we visited pub VERY quiet and in our opinion lacking any traditioal welcoming pub atmosphere, maybe due to lack of other diners. Overall despite it having been recommended to us as THE BEST PUB IN THE COUNTY we were disappointed.
