Not very good really. Landlord was unfriendly and clearly motivated by maximising his profits from his customers.
Failed to understand that being welcoming and friendly, even to those just stopping by for a drink, would pay dividends (one of our party did actually have a meal!). We would have come back for meals etc and spread the word to our friends and Family had it been a good experience. Now I'm writing a bad review and spreading the wrong kind of word.
MAKES ME WONDER WHY SOME PEOPLE CHOOSE TO RUN PUBS IN THE FIRST PLACE IF THEY DONT LIKE THE CUSTOMERS WHO ARE WELL BEHAVED AND FRIENDLY THEMSELVES?

Excellent food and real beer.Free House
Warm and friendy owners...like pubs used to be.
Recommended for evening food in season and lunches other times.
Plenty of walks close by including the waterfalls walk.
Wish there were more pubs of this style.
