My partner and I decided we'd like a carvery but not at the noisy cafe style Toby Inn. I found the Swan online and we popped along to try it out. We were very pleasantly surprised. The decor was lovely and olde worlde. Staff were relaxed and friendly. My starter was home cooked and made crumbed and fried brie portions with a very genorous amount of cranberry sauce - lovely. We then had the carvery - pretty superior to the Toby Inn's offerings.. Couldn't fault it. My partner finished off with the apple crumble which he couldn't fault.# All this without the cattle market atmosphere of the Toby Inns. We will be returing to the Swan on a regular basis.
