I have stayed in this hotel with my husband for four times and we highly recommend Central Hotel to anyone looking for good budget accomodation in central London. The hotel was having done a bit of refurbishing when we stayed there, but this didn't bother us at all as we basically used the rooms only for sleeping. The breakfast is hearty, it will keep you going well into late lunch, there are the full English option or a lighter option with cereals and toast. The room (twin basic) was quite adequate for two adults, the shower and toilets in the corridor were no problem to use as there seldom seemed to be any other guests waiting to use the (excellent power-shower or the spacious toilets. Rooms were kept very clean, towels were changed regularily, but unfortunately there is one thing we must say we were not very pleased at all: there seemed to appear a nocturnal visitor, since during TWO of our stays our shopping bags had been gnawed at. I know, we should have used the cupboards (not very spacious since we did some SERIOUS shopping) but the plastic bags honestly had someones tiny toothmarks on them. Taking into consideration the value and all-round cleanliness of the accomodition, I really didn't want to place any official complaint as we truly do like Central Hotel and definately would recommend it to anyone looking for friendly, cheerful, helpful and central budget hotel. Enjoy!
