Sunday afternoon pint “Whilst staying at, the lovely, Woodland Caravan park we decided to take a 40min afternoon walk to the local for a drink or two. On arrival we were greated with 'there's no food' from the landlord who, on seeing us arrive locked the door to the garden. But hey, we only wanted some drinks. After being told we had 'time for a quick one' drinks were grudgingly served. Seemed odd as their website states they are open all day, and at least a dozen locals were in attedance, set for the long haul. We sat out front next to the busy road, with our two kids. Thought I would go for a second pint anyway, which after much staring at wrist watch and mutters, I managed to get but was told 'leave the glass outside'. On our departure we hear the locals getting another round and having a great time, we were obviously not at all welcome, no idea why. One to avoid, unless you happen to be judging grumpy landlord of the year!

Little under a year ago my partner and I came here for his birthday and I have to say that the food was exquisit and the service fantastic. Now we are sat in here for our anniversary and I am writing this review...........exactly! We are going to finish our drinks and go to franki and bennies! That bad! The menu consists of five or six dishes scruffily hand written on one piece of scraggy paper that sits on the bar and consists of lasagna, scampi and chips and an assortment of pies and chips! Not only that, you don't get to read it yourself, the bar man quickly ran through it for us. After booking a table in advance we were shoved in a grubby corner of the pub next to the toilet, the only reserved spot in the building! Happy anniversary darlin!

Hi. I visited with my friends last night, and the pub was very busy in this quiet location. The food was very good, and we all enjoyed our visit. I would definately recommend to friends.
