Wow! What a wonderful, friendly place! Arrived on the night of the Champions League Final (Man Utd v Barcelona i think!). The great staff looked after me so well, despite my miserable girlfriend at the time, who didn't appreciate the beauty of the Village. The landlady was on a night out with pals, but when she got back, we had a great late night 'afters!' I've just qualified in Law, and looking to move to Port Isaac. The quality of life is something else. If any of you guys remember me from our visit, please email me. Let me know if any properties come up for rent? I drove late in the day, 6 hours (from Kent), and found paradise. The Crows Nest made it all possible. Steve Cousins

We spent nearly a week celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with Tony and Donna in the Pub. The food is superbly home cooked, bar well stocked, comfortable rooms with a view, but the best part of all was the friendly, happy, welcoming warm welcome to everyone who comes in. The staff were brilliant. If you are looking for friendly comfort and a good relax you can't go wrong.

Tony and Sharon run what could be described as one of the most eclectic and panoramic hotels in Port Issac, along with the totally stunning views you get a mix of true Cornish local life, with many of the local fishermen frequenting the hotel bar, alongside miriads of foreign travellers gathering on the front terrace ,who seem to enjoy both the view and the pubs overall ambience. Add to this the offbeat atmosphere of the Crows Nest natural humour, Bon Homme etc, then you will understand why we have returned to this establishment three times in as many years. As for the accommadation, well, its generally all ok, dont expect brand new fittings or posh rooms as this place is for people who love to linger over Cornish life, and in saying that; as a Cornishman , youll get a bucketfull of Cornish with a bit to spare, Oh! and yes its very stayable in, trust me; it wont win a Michelin star, but who needs restaurant stars when the whole of the stars in the universe shine down on your vista. Food. Tony is a Foodie, and what with Sharon and (his wife) and the rest of the crew, youll find a very eatable range of commestables, ranging from the mundane to locally caught Lobster and many more choices, all cooked resonably quickly and you can eat the stuf where ever you want; ir terrace bar, room, you decide! Oh, must mention the breakfast, you can choose from the main All day Gut Buster(which I did on all my stays) or as Karen did, go for a light anything goes from the menu, nothing was a problem. Overall, I have to reccomend this venue to anyone wanting a relatively cheap break, but not wanting the Ritz, you folks go elsewhere, but any realist would see the benefits of this laidback establishment. OH by the way, dogs are wellcome,Daisey and Dave and I found many long walks over the surrounding area, some took over two hours to complete , sometimes in villages and sometimes just over the cliffs. This, gave the girls plenty of time to peruse the vast shopping area that is Port Isacc. Submitted By Brian and Janie Fisher. Fellow Stayers with us Dave and Karen, and the best sniffer out of tracks Daisy. Hope you find this Helpful.
