We have eaten a Sunday roast at this establishment. Can honestly say avoid at all costs. The dinner is ready made and very bland. The service is second rate and manageress we also found very rude!! Drinks are expensive and draught is quite poor! So many better options within close proximity of here.

We are not happy customers. We do use this pub often on a lunch time, but decided to have an evening meal on Saturday. Went into the restaurant at 8.00ish, but at 9.00 when we had just finished our meal we and many others were asked to vacate the dining area and move into the bar area. By this time there were no seats for any of us. The waitress was very apologetic but the manageress was extremly rude as we had asked if we could at least finish our drinks which we had just got, then we would leave, but no we had to move there and then as instructed by the very rude manageress. We should have been told when we went in that we would not be able to stay in our seats. Won´t go back.

WE have just come back from having Sunday Carvery lunch at the Mitre. It was the first time we have had our Sunday lunch out and won't be the last. The food was excellent lots of choice, if you like leeks try the creamy leeks they were very nice. We got two choices of thickly cut meat. There was pork, beef, turkey and gammon. The chef was very helpful and chatty to us and the children. Great value for money. Deffinatly worth a visit and no washing up.

Food was served to wrong tables. They lost our order so several groups were served before us. Took them another half an hour to bring our food. Chicken pie looked big but was almost empty. 3 tiny pieces of chicken, lots of leek and sauce. Very stodgy. Chips were soggy. Were there for 1 1/2 hours before we got our food. Only saw 10 meals served in that time.
