The food (and wine) is amazingly good but not too sure about the service. My girlfriend and I book for 8pm, turn up about then and walk in the door. One member of staff aproaches us, looks at us, says nothing, goes away. Long pause of maybe a minute or 2. Another, different member of staff approaches us, looks at us, goes away. We stand there like a pair of idiots for another minute then walk further into the restaurant: both are doing something else. What the ####?

"Visited with a with friends for the first time based on recommendation from one of the friends attending dinner that evening. I have to say that it was one of the best meals I have had since moving here in 2001. I had the slow roast pork and my wife had the sea bass. Both were phenomenal. A must for anyone visiting or living in the local area simply the best!!!

[ I ordered the chicken in white wine sauce. My partner had the fillet steak. The meals came out in plates the size of charger plates, but my chicken looked like a mangled sparrow, which was topped up with lots of cress. No sauce at all. The waitress forgot my potatoes. When I finally got them, they were the size of a 10p piece! My partner wanted his steak rare, but it was over cooked. I then got a bill for £48! Save your money, and go to McDonalds!

The restaurant is attractive, nicely appointed and we had a warm welcome. The table was nicely laid and the waitresses, although teenagers were polite. We were though, offered other people's food several times, even though it was fairly clear what stage our meal was at. There was an excellent choice on the menu, and the timings were good. The food was beautifully presented, with the portion size just right. All of the main courses (2 x Steak Dianne, 1 x Chicken and 1 x Pork) were unacceptably salty. We got through two jugs of water and were still thirsty at bedtime! By 11pm the restuarant was almost empty and we were clearly being pressured to finish up and go. We are always on the look out for high quality restaurant food and are very happy to pay the necessary premium. Unfortunately there was far too much sugar and salt richness, rather than a focus on the true flavour of the food. On this showing they don't quite hit the mark.

We visited this restaurant after it being recommended to celebrate several birthdays and we were not disappointed, the restaurant was beautiful with wicker chairs and tables laid with crisp clean white linen, and the dimmed lights added to the atmosphere which was lovely, the food was to die for very well presented and and tasted divine, worth every penny, this is not a cheap restaurant but on the other hand it is not overly expensive and you get what you pay for with plenty of selection for all tastes. I must also comment on the waitresses as they tend to get overlooked, our waitress was very polite and attentive. We will certainly be paying the restaurant another visit!!
