If you have heard bad things about this pub then immediately put them out of your mind - it was faultless.
This was the third time I had visited the pub since they have changed their food concept and chef. It was excellent - food is good british food, with slight influences from other countries, ie a pasta dish and some dishes served with Salsa. We had duck terrine and haddock and mozzarella fishcakes for starter, calves liver with spring onion mash and crispy bacon and seabass with tomato confit followed by the most delicsion tart tatin I have ever had. Well done chef.
Just to top it all the service we had from our waitress was friendly, helpful and she never stopped smiling. Well worth the tip with left.
A triumph and will definitely be back.
