On arriving at the site we 'booked' in and paid our fees. We were then shown where to pitch our tents. We pitched our tents only to be told by the owners mother that we were too close to a site where a caravan was due and we therefore had to move our tent. This annoyed us somewhat as the lady had passed us on numerous occasions whilst we were pitching and said nothing, and to add to our annoyance the caravan in question did not even turn up!! The childrens play area was a huge dissapointment. We had 4 children in our group who were looking forward to this only to discover that the play area was non existant, it is in fact a field, this I feel should be defined a bit clearer in the camsite description. Having said that, the toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and the site is well kept and clean. I do not think that we will be returning to the site due to lack of other facilities.

Lovely site, my two children and myself visited for 10 days. Basically just a field surrounded by more fields, mountains, sheep and cows! Shower blocks and washing up area, both with free constant hot water. Toilet block was adequate, although the toilets could do with cleaning a little more often. (This would not stop me returning to the site again). Mr Roberts the camp site owner was very friendly, and ready to give local area information if needed. You chose where you wanted to pitch, ample cold water points on site, freezer blocks could be frozen at a charge of 30p per block. No childrens play area, but they were allowed to play ball games and fly kites on the site. The site is within a short walk of Criccieth town centre, beach etc, although I wouldn't reccommend walking at night.
