What a welcome, what a community!! I absolutely adore this place. A great place, great food and company and always a lovely welcoming. Very friendly people and I can't wait to be coming back there soon.

went for lunch yesterday 15/01/09 and had a lovely warm welcome, were invited to come and sit by a nice real fire to get warm as it was a cold wet day, had a really nice meal and would say to anyone reading this the food and welcome were excellent, so U looking for that nice tucked away pub this is the place.

Sorry to read that you did not recive a welcome at the Sun. I and my wife are the new tenants and can assure you of a warm welcome at all times. I, or any of the locals, have any recolation of a barman with a beard ever working here and am sure that you must be refering to another pub called the Sun as we are well out of your way on the journey described by you.

After spending many hours on Snowdon in the rain,(toilets were out of use) headed back to Birmingham in desperate need of the toilet, called into this pub to use the facilities only to be told by a very nasty bar man that we were not welcome, glared at in a menacing manner by said bearded bar man, I said I very sorry we had no money on us, we were cold dripping wet and females and were refused entry to the toilets.I would never recommend any body setting foot in this pub. whilst I appreciate that "walkers" may be a problem at times, I believe this man got a kick out of treating us in a rude nasty way and can fully understand why they only had 2 customers!

excellent food, the cawl was delicious, a real welsh welcome on st.davids day. The bar staff were very friendly, especially the blonde chain smoker.
