Visited this pub on a Thursday evening. Had heard good reports and thought we would try it. We were impressed! Get fed up of going to places around Taunton and being disappointed. We were greeted by a smiling Aussie, who managed to sort us out with a nice table. Great glass of house Cab Sauvignon to start and my partner enjoyed his glass of Otter Ale. But what blew us away was the starter of scallops with herb risotto...excellent. Menu was a good mix of English dishes with a twist. Chicken with sweet potato was also good and the chocolate brownie was yummy. Saw lots of great dishes going out and they were busy on a cold Thursday. Landlady came out and chatted and was charming. Suggest you book and well worth trying.

We came down to Somerset for a country cricket festival and stumbled upon the Queen's Arms , its a proper traditional country pub but with great restaurant standard food and if we're down again this year we'll recommend it to everyone else ... well done they deserve to do well.
