Staff where friendly until we complained about the food. Three of us had the beef sunday dinner at £9 each. The beef was roughly a third eadible, with the rest made up of gristle. When asked if we enjoyed the meal, it was pointed out that the amount of left over fat on the three plate was evidence enough of how bad the meat was, the reply came "well sir that is the cut of the meat"! Personnaly if i buy a cut of meat at Tesco for £6 i wouldnt accept that it was full of fat, because of the "cut"! From then on we where treated rudely. The 'real' ale was poor, pumped electronically

my family and i(which includes an 11 month old baby) called after a visit to shrewsbury for an early evening meal around 5.40 pm. food was advertised from 6.00 pm onwards. we tried to order at 5.45 and were advised that they couldnt take our order untill 6.00 pm which wasnt a problem, we ordered drinks and sat down to wait. then a pre organised party of 50 people came in which caused chaos, they obviously couldnt deal with this amount of people as when i tried to order at 6.05 pm i was told that they now couldnt take my order untill 6.30 pm. i said that that wasnt good enough and eventually had to ask for the manager as i wanted my money back for our drinks as we were leaving. it took a while but i did eventually get our drinks money back and we left without having anything to eat. we eventually found a very nice place called the himley arms and had a very nice freindly meal.i would never return to the plume of feathers.
