Had a fantastic afternoon out at the chocolate House. 16 hot chocolates to choose from... amazing. Sat down and watched a short film on how chocolate was made and the finished the family of with a few chocolates from their shop. Got to tell more people about this place!

A very disappointing experience. I ordered mushrooms on toast as a starter and my first mouthful was horrible - when I looked at the toast it was burnt black. When I told the waiter he was horrified and said he would show the chef and take it off the bill. He asked me to choose a replacement starter but I did not bother as the other members of my party were obviously part way through their starters and also I needed to just drink some water to get rid of the horrible taste. Two of the party had prawn cocktails - one because her first choice starter was unavailable and she was not told prior to our order being taken - and both found it less than average mainly consisting of lettuce. The main courses were fine although one of the party had a 10oz ribeye steak which he said was not memorable. We were sueprised when the bill arrived to find the 3 glasses of wine we had drunk were £7 each and the small cups of cappucino were £3 each without even a mint to accompany them. The staff were the only saving grace and we will definitely not return.

I called into the Greyhound with my husband and a friend whilst re-tracing footsteps from a childhood visit to Rotherfield Peppard. We were impressed by the staff, real ale and general cosiness of the pub so booked for Sunday lunch the next day. What can I say? Absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent - and reasonably priced, in line with the recession-proof intent - the ale well-kept, the glass of wine with lunch defintely one to go on the 'to look out for' list and the staff attentive without being obtrusive. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, would recommend the Greyhound to friends and hope to return whenever we're in the area. Well done to all concerned - and thank you!

You entertained our lunch party of 35, including 4 children, with great skill and courtesy. The meal was excellent and served most efficiently. We were very pleased with every aspect of your hospitality and have no hesitation in recommending your restaurant to others. Our thanks to all your staff but especially to Alicia and Richard.

Absolutely disgusting. The worse experience I've ever had in a restarant! My wife and I went there on our wedding annniversary and left after 50 minutes without eating anything because we had such appalling service. Please do yourself a favour and never go to this restaurant. If you're looking for a fantastic restaurant locally, go to the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row. We've been there on numerous occasions and it's always excellent!!
