We have passed on many occassions when have a day out driving around the surrounding area and found the place always very busy. So today we stopped for a meal and as usual the place was very busy. The lounge was full and the small bar area busy so we went into the restaurant which also was busy.We ordered and waited a full hour before our meals camebut during our wait we were kept informed as to the delay. Our meals were of good quailty, tasteful and very well presented but with the wait and price of food we felt that we eaten at more promising places at less cost. Saying that the staff were very friendly and welcoming and yes i would be prepared to visit again

Probably the best food around ! We have eaten here three times over the last two months and every time it just gets better and better . With five real ales for the men top choose from and very good quality house wine for me.The food is fantastic the specials boards seem to change on a daily basis , the prsentation is second to none and to taste is heaven . We suggest and recomend you try it for yourself.

I hadn't visited the Manor house for a couple of years, the food used to be quite decent if overpriced, it's now just overpriced. We ordered starters of bruschetta and 2 portions of garlic bread. Main course of "Posh Chicken Pie", Fillet steak (plus chips) and a child's portion of pasta. It all arrived at once, the waitress did offer to take the main course away for a few minutes, but we declined the offer. The garlic bread consisted of halved baguettes, still chewy from being defrosted, spread with a thin coating of something that may have been garlic butter, it really wasn't edible. The chips were tepid with a hint of not entirely fresh fat, imagine a portion of Burger King chips left to cool overnight and you won't be far wrong. The steak was ok, though nothing to shout about. It would probably have benefited from a pepper sauce, adding another £2 to the £16.99 price. There were no complaints about the Chicken Pie or the pasta. Beer was still excellent though.

My wife, myself and friends have eaten at the Manor house a number of times over the last 2-3 months, we would highly recomend it, the food keeps getting better and the staff are second to none.

my husband and i had a meal at the manor house which we have had several times before without a complaint except this time we were quite shocked at how much ours cost. our starters were just ok my husband had 5 prawns and a spoon full of rice for £5.75, our steaks were very small for £14.95 each with 3 potatoes and soggy brocoli and carrots and £2.00 for a diane sauce!! we then had 1 portion of chocolate cake a 1 scoop of ice cream for £4.50.then 2 irish coffees costing £9.90 this i couldnot believe. including a pint and a g & t and a bottle of wine the bill was £73.95. the same meal in october was £20 less and a better meal. i appreciate on the night it was the landlords birthday but we new another couple who was in at the same time and waited 1 1/2 hours between starters and main course.i will say the staff are really helpful and friendly but i will not be eating there again not at that price.
