I have visited the Earle dozens of times over the past 4 years and have never been disappointed. It is a very special place, one of the best.
I have read miss lewis review and all i can presume is that she is a bit simple.

after hearing so many good reports decided to take my parents for a meal,
unfortunatly our evening did not go well we waited an age to even be served in the bar as the bar was unattened for a good 15mins then we waited again to have our food order taken and sadly when our food arrived it was a very great disapointment my steak , having ordered medium to rare was more than well done and my fathers rissotto was cold in the middle ( obviously a pre-cooked, heat in the micro jobbie) all in all a very sad evening ... I really dont think we will return.

We have eaten at the Earle three times now and have never been disappointed. The food is very honest and even reaches excellence. The welcome is great. They keep good beer and a sensible wine list. Add to that an amazing little estate village and a country seat which invites a walk in the park (get the house!) and it is the best lunch time bet for miles.

This little pub is a marvelous find tucked away in rural Norfolk in a privately owned village. The host is welcoming and the staff and regular customers are very friendly. The food was very good and also very reasonable.A+
