My parner and I were staying in a cottage nr the pub and seeing a leaflet in the cottage for it, booked a table. We were unsure what to expect but we both came away feeling as if we're eaten one of the best meals of the past few years. I ordered a rare rib eye steak and it was sooo tender and perfectly cooked.my partner had a curry as it was curry night. Beef Madras and it was perfect. The meat was tender, the spices were delicious. He said it was one of the best curries he's had and we live close to Brick Lane in London. I also had one of the best desserts I've ever tried. Chocolate fudge cake. The staff were soo friendly and the chef really knew his produce. He told me all about where the meat was from and I appreciated that. We would definatly go again when we're next in the area.

We went to Plymouth the night before to see a show and decided to travel back west via the North coast, We have stopped at the Quarryman before on the off chance and was not disappointed by the meal we had. So we again took the chance of getting Sunday Lunch there which again was delicious, the staff were very pleasant and helpful the scenery outside was amazing. Being Cornish we like to try out different surroundings and this was truly a delightful pub and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Well what can i say about this rustic proper Cornish pub. I was welcomed with smiles and friendly faces, all the staff were very pleasent and helpful. Ordering a steak was the best decision i made, i have never had such a succulent, juicy and tender steak, served with delicious tomatoes, onion rings, mushrooms and a very generous portion of chips. I had alot of good cornish food for my money. All the produce that is used is all Cornish and local. There was a vast range of Cornish Ales and other beverages to complement a brillant meal. I would defenatly reccomend this pub to anyone who wants an outstanding meal and come away satisafied. I will certainly be returning, so i can indulge in all the other dishes that is to offer. "Hats off to the Chef" FIVE STAR.
