Oh dear! This used to (and should) be such a great pub. But on most recent visit we had only just settled in for a few pints and a game of darts when we were rudely informed the landlord "had decided" to close at 10:30 despite advertising 11:00 on the door. Just when us pub-goers thought we had finally got rid of the great british licensing laws... Avoid for now until this humourless little despot moves on to ruin some other unsuspecting establishment.

I had dinner at the Old Ferry Inn with seven others, we had been told the food was good, but we were all very disappointed, it was not good, especially considering the prices they charged. The starters (whitebait and crab) were not bad, but most of the mains were terrible. One of my friends ordered the lamb, when he tasted it the sauce was so sweet that he described it as 'lamb with jam', and he found it almost inedible. Another friend had pork chops, it too came with a sickly sweet sauce, he couldn't eat much of it and was sick later that night. I had scallops and monkfish in coconut sauce, it was not inedible but was very bland, watery and overcooked. The only main that was any good was the sea bass, which was fine, but rather overpriced. All in all a disappointing experience, we won't be going back or recommending it to anyone.
