We visited the Lazy Otter yesterday for Sunday lunch. It is situated in a very pleasant setting next to the river and you can eat your meal looking out at the boats. The pub is nicely decorated and the staff seemed very friendly and helpful and kept asking if we were happy with our meals. You could have one course for around £9, two for around £11 and three for around £14. The food was quite nice but there was so much of it piled onto medium sized plates and quite honestly it was rather daunting. We would rather have had bigger plates or smaller dinners. None of us managed to finish our meals and I hate waste! The puddings were very nice. Altogether it was good value but the presentation could have been better. I would give it 6/10.

We live locally, so wanted to try out the Otter under new management. We had two really great meals on different days. Food quality has improved enormously, and is now home-made (not just home-cooked) and was exceptional for us. Prices are now very reasonable and portion sizes generous. The selection of real ales has enlarged, and now are very well kept and served. Aspalls Cider (which I love!) Stowford press, and a very strong local Cider are also available. We will be visiting regularly in the future, and in Summer enjoying the riverside setting.
