Good Points: Rooms where fine and the area pleasant Bad Points: Staff were rude on a couple of occasions, firstly to our course learder in the LRQA corse I attended. Secondly, when serving the expensive pints beer to our table, they seamed to just want to get away rather than serve the customer WHO is at the end of the day paying THEIR wages. Not pleasant General review: With the exception of the expensive food, limited menu, expensive beer and rude staff, the rooms were fine!!!!!I would only stay if I had to attend another course at that hotel, People are the Marketing front to deliver a good outlook....TRAIN the staff in manners.

Nice setting, comfortable rooms but the food is by far the worst I have encountered in many a year. On night one my colleague and I were served the seafood stew incorrectly. This we sent bake due to a very poor taste and smell, When replaced weith the seafood pasta we encountered a very watery tastless dish that made both of us sick well into the late afternoon of the following day. We decided the following night to stick with a safe roast beef and yorkshire pud, I mean what could they possibly do wrong with beef? They served it with about half a pint of powdery bisto gravy dolloped all over it. No would you like gravy gentlemen? Take my advice and eat in the local village. The resturant manager said sorry, but had no further feedback or even the offer of a free brandy to soften the blow. Tread carefully is my advice.

Rooms very comfortable, did find the limited channels on the tv rather frustrating, not a good representation of Sky TV and the reception was not good. Dinner in the evening is a rather strange affair, if like me you are on your own you have to share a table with others which in my case proved to be a very interesting evening. I think they are more geared up for the conference side which seems to be very popular.
