what a rip off Alum Bay is, we arrived and paid our £3 car park and set off to enter the attraction only to find at the entrance a board which stated the charges to enter each attraction( sweet shop, glass shop etc.) half of it was closed and although we expected to pay for the chair lift did not expect to have to pay to go into a sweet shop to buy a gift for someone.
This board should have been displayed at the entrance to the car park so you knew what it was going to cost before you entered (silly me, most people would have turned around and gone elsewhere)
They proudly state a saver book of tickets costing £9 is available. For my husband and myself it would have cost the princely sum of £21 to spend about 1 hour in total, not fair on a family with kids. It may only cost £1 each to go into the shop but for a family of 5 it would cost a small fortune, a fortune that the present owners are making out of it, holidaymakers BEWARE.
