Lovely comfortable little hotel. Good food and comfortable room but the outstanding feature of this hotel was the friendly staff who went the extra mile when, about to leave I discovered that my car had a flat tyre.
Without any prompting, Sean, the Manager came out to the car to be joined by two other members of staff. After a tussle to get the nuts off they changed the wheel and refused to accept any payment saying only 'come back and visit us'. I certainly will!

Good Points: comfort, nice restaurant, real ale, very pleasant staff
Bad Points: poor tv reception, no bathoom extractor fan connected to light, very tasty food but meat disappointingly chewy.
General review: would certainly return and recommend it to others.

Good Points: Good location.
Bad Points: Coffee made in room was horrid - may have been the water. Bought some bottled water and that was fine.
General review: We expected to eat in one evening but we were entertained by friends elsewhere. Evening meal looked expensive. A little noise between rooms might detract slighlty Cosy lounge, good bar.

The good thing about the hotel was that the staff were very friendly. However we were disappointed with the room we were allocated. It was small and basic. It needed redecorating. One of the walls looked like it had water marks/stains on it. The pipes in our room were also very noisy. The food in the restaurant was good but in my opinion very pricey. Unfortunately our waitress did not speak very good English and we had to request another member of staff so that we could ask a question about the menu. Breakfast was very disappointing. Very little choice for continental.
