I had heard a lot of bad reports about Horton park but a group of friends who visited recently told me to find out for myself, since the course had changed so dramatically. I had not played the course before so went along with some trepidation. The green fees were reasonable (we went on a 2 for 1 ticket) and the club house attractive, clean well staffed.
The course proved to be in excellent condition, except that the greens were a little slow. The opening 5 holes match those of any club I have played in the area and the 10 hole is one of the best par 3's I have ever played.
I will certainly return to Horton Park, probably several times, to experience good golf on a well maintained course.Date visited: 8th Jne 2007
