Halewood's is what a secondhand bookshop should be: absolutely piled to the ceiling with books, a great place to pass an hour or so browsing - but be aware of opening time, around 10am. The owner very friendly and helpful in finding something on whatever topic you choose to name. I bought some history pamphlets and found an out-of-print guidebook that I had searched for in vain elsewhere, and have since had something else I was looking for sourced and kept back for me. Specialist in Sherlock Holmes, with a terrific stock of Conan Doyle related stuff. Martin
