Little Switzerland is a great camping site, i stayed there for 4 nights & the owner & staff were great, very friendly & helpful. The owner was very laid back & full of local information. The site has a great cafe / bar on site, I would recommend Little Switzerland to any body.

we have just got back and absolutly loved it here, very friendly and welcoming owners, beautiful surroundings, showers were 10p for 2 minutes - so 30p for 6 minutes (though you get about 10minutes for that amount in reality) - which contrary to what others have said is the cheepest we've seen for a long time. we will definatly be going back - 12 noon depature is also nice as the tent had time to dry after last nights storms! comes very highly recommended!

I was shocked to read the latest two reviews of the site. It made me wonder whether there is a new owner. We stayed at the site last Summer and were very impressed with both the situation and the owner. We found him to be very friendly, welcoming and chatty. Although the facilities are quite basic, the situation more than makes up for this. We aren't keen on commercial sites and this site, although it has a bar and restaurant, maintains an unspoilt aspect. It combines breathtaking scenery, exciting coastal paths and all within easy walking distance of Folkestone town. We are going back there soon and I just hope we aren't made to 'eat our words'. The proof of the pudding.....

I found this site very clean and the owners very friendly, and helpful. I stayed on the caravan pitch and we took our dog, there is plenty of places to take your dog and again the site was clean from dog pooh. there is toilets/showers blocks they are old but clean. there is a laundary room but i did not use it. there is a restaurant which we found to be reasonable. The Views from this site are fantasic on a clear day you can see France. this is a small site 14 pitches, with EHU there is a area for camping and there are static caravans this is a lovely site to go to if you just need to chill out and relax.

Like the previous reviewer, I found the owner rude and unhelpful. I asked for one night and informed him that weather permitting I would pay for another. With this in mind he told me where to pitch my tent. When I saw him the following morning to pay for my second night I was told that my pitch was booked out to another family and that I would have to move my tent. I appealed to him that there was any number of empty pitches suitable for the family in question, but he remained inflexible. I told him that I had never heard of people having to erect their tents on a new pitch if they decided to extend their stay. His reply was arrogant. Needless to say I took my tent down and went to another campsite. It is a shame it was like this because the situation has great potential, but not in his hands.

This could be a nice basic campsite but be warned owner is rude and can be abusive. NO receipts are given out for payment or dates booked. The man took my booking by telephone and wrote arrival dates down incorrectly, then accused me of overstaying. The shower was not working (also needed to feed it with coins when it was working which they don't tell you).Do not leave anything of value unattended. There is no security and vehicles going past at speed, day and night to the cliff top cafe on the site. There is a very steep flight of about 20 steps to the mens toilets.
