Officious and aggressive assistant warden, so called serviced pitches where it was difficult to hook up to water without a very long hose, very specific instructions for setting up but these were not made known .to us until after we pitched. All in all ruined by lack of customer care

Having just returned from a week at Lytton Lawn I can honestly say we won't be going back. We had one of the star pitches but what possessed them to put us, a middle aged couple, next to the children's play area is beyond me. I love children but when you're trying to relax and all you get is the sound of children screaming and shouting it gets a tad irritating after a couple of days. I also found one member of staff was really quite miserable. It took her a few minutes to even acknowledge I was there when I went to register in and after that it was as if everything was too much trouble. The rest of the staff were lovely. Also the entrance was way too narrow. As for the sister site, we really couldn't be bothered to travel 2.5miles just for a swim and from what we were told by other campers, the pool was really very small. Again, we have decided we will never go there again.

Good points. Nice location, clean facilities. Down side, sardine like plots allocated, money seems the main objective.

We have been coming to lytton lawn for more than 10 years, firstly in a tent , now we have a caravan. We love it. Clean showers, friendly staff, we find we always have a relaxing time there. We love the area too, the new forest is a drive away and there is beaches for the kids not far away. we do go into the serviced pitches, which are very well maintained. the park is busy at peak times but we have never encountered any problems..., we use the shorefield swimming pool and sometimes the bar area, the only thing i would say is the food area is not up to much. not very good value for money..

not too impressed with this camp site to say the least - although we didnt use the facilities at shorefield (that may well have been much better) the 28 pounds PER NIGHT fee was a little excessive for our small vw camper van and the two of us. Also whilst we were told the site was on a b road - the traffic was continous throughout the night and kept us awake - as did the fact that we were so packed in that we could hear next doors snoring!!! We did visit in the high season so maybe some of you have had a different experience, i hope so! Such a shame that what could be a lovely friendly small site is blatantly only being run to make some money.
