I don’t usually write reviews but we enjoyed our holiday so much at Trevaylor last year I thought it was worth a few words. The site is so well situated being only a 5 miniute walk to the coast path and a 10 minute drive to Sennen Cove where we spent much of our time. It is well maintained and the facilities were always very clean. The ovners were friendly and helpful. We liked the site bar which although small still manages to stock draft ales and cider - very friendly staff. A real gem and definitely on our best “list”.

We arrived at this site in the blustering wind only to have to wait for half hour for someone to come to the shop to show us our pitch. The owner then proceeded to get the sums muddled about about the amount of nights we were staying and then got irritable with us saying his wife had gone to Bristol and he was trying to manage everything on his own. He placed us next to a permanent resident on the site whose site was littered with junk and looked like scruffy. When I complained at the way he had received us he told us to go, that he didn't have time for complaints, he was tired and busy and could get the business elsewhere - he suggested we clear off back to Wales. If we could have left we would but in peak season it is virtually impossible to get anywhere else for a 10 day booking last minute. So we stayed but he was cold and didn;t even say hello for the whole time we were there. This tainted our holiday and really upset me. He is clearly unable to manage the stress of running the place in the absence of his wife and is not able to contain his frusration well enough not to take it out on customers. This area of Cornwall is fabulous but I would never go back to this site. The showers were a bit grubby and shabby and ate your 20ps. Not that I'm tight I just expect water to be included in the rates as its a drag not being able to have a shower until you get change. Also there was no hot water in the washing up room. I wouldn't go back here, there are plenty of other places around.
