Once you discover the Fosse Gallery, you keep going back. A wonderful little haven in the centre of Stow on the Wold, in the historic Manor House, run by Sharon Wheaton, it provides an ever-changing collection of work by many of the country's leading artists, as well as many new and local painters. Specialising in figurative and narrative work, which enhances any home - much of which is affordable, despite the number of esteemed Royal Academicians who exhibit at Fosse, it is worth wandering in whenever you are in the town. Private Views take place about once a month on Sunday mornings, with champagne and provide a chance to meet the artists as well as see their work. Get on the mail list and receive invitations.
