Good Points: great location, good furnishings, nice restaurnant Bad Points: final touches poor, stained carpets which were not fitted properly, dirt smudges on walls, paint cracks and cracks in bathroom floor, no soap in room, had jar of cookies some of which had a bite previously taken out of them. Window didnt shut properly and room was cold, back of curtains really dirty, noticed when went to close them. General review: This hotel has the potential to be beautiful, however our room was way below par of what i expected for a 4 star hotel. I would like to have known that not all the rooms were not up to the £200 standard. I was very much under the impression that as i paid a dicounted rate i had a discounted room. The hotel served the purpose of our stay however I would not recomend the rooms to others and if i did i would warn them that expectations should not be high. Overall I was disapointed with the room as it did not meet my expectations and because I had arranged it for my mother as a mothers day present. I would not return to the hotel unless the rooms have been refurbished. I feel there are better standards of rooms else where admittledly without the location.

Stayed at the hotel in a party of 12 family members from around the world for family celebration. Hotel grubby, our room in stable block damp, walls peeling, dirty, net curtains black with mould, shower head missing. Asked for comments from manager, no contact during stay and still waiting for a reply three weeks after sending a follow up letter.

Good Points: The Coach House was pretty and we had a good sized bathroom Bad Points: Lighting in our room was insuffient General Review: Receptionist very unwelcoming on arrival! All other staff very helpful and friendly.Dinner menu only changed weekly but chef very obliging offered to make anything we wanted.Bathroom didn't have shower gel, shower hat, shampoo or bath-plug.It was very relaxing to sit in lounge and to enjoy the lovely grounds. A diary of local events/flyers would be very useful to have at the reception area, I'm sure this would make it user friendly.

Good Points: The room was very large, light and airy, the food was exceptional and the view across the windrush valley stunning, the gardens were only spoilt by the weather being very damp Bad Points: One receptionist - unlike all the other staff who were excellent, she was rather clueless and unhelpful General Review: The room was very large, light and airy, the food was exceptional and the view across the windrush valley stunning, the gardens were only spoilt by the weather being very wet, the building work did not interfere with us at all although it might during the week. Staff generally very helpful without being obsequious

Stunning house, beautiful location, great service. This hotel is perfect for a break away from the reality of everyday life and I'm sure it could be inspiration enough for many books. Our one complaint was that the heating seemed to be turned up to the highest level, which did make me feel slightly feverish at times. The deluxe room we had was gorgeous and we found the bathroom suite particulalry luxurious. In-room drink's facilities were also top quality although a little more milk would have been great.

The room was very large and had a modern bathroom. The common areas were charming and comfortable and the grounds are lovely. Food was well prepared and the service was good. Staff was helpful, but not intrusive. Of course, the hotel is very old, so it cannot be compared to a modern hotel. However, the room carpeting is very worn and needs to be replaced. A seemingly small defect can leave a bad overall impression. The quality of the hotel and the size of the room were better than expected. My friend and I do not travel light and it proved to be a comfortable accommodation for us. It is a good value and I will recommend it to friends.

This is a beautiful manor house with wonderful views of the countryside and in a good location for touring the Cotswolds. Our room was clean, there was a cot available for our baby, and the breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

We paid for a deluxe room, but we were upgraded to a junior suite. We were thrilled with it. The hotel has a lot of land, but they haven't done anything with it, like have gardens, or even flowers, or a pool. The lovely big lawns were doing nothing to add to the ambience of the hotel. Wyck Hill House is very well situated and has lovely views. It is not within walking distance of anything. The breakfast was excellent. Dinners were pretty good. We both liked our starters and desserts, but felt on both nights that the main course was average. This is a beautiful hotel, but it has no facilities such as a gym, spa, or pool.

The seclusion and tranquility of the Cotswold Countryside. No fridge in the room. Access to room 28 above was via staircase over our bed. Noisy! Despite the bad weather, we had a very enjoyable stay. Excellent welcome with complementary tea and biccies while we filled in registration forms. The staff were very courteous and attentive and catered for our every need. Breakfast was a delight. A fridge in Room 27 would have been useful. Very large and comfortable bed. Bathroom facilities were excellent.
