I cannot understand why The Bear and Swan has a good reputation. After drinks in the bar, I ordered a drink at the table when ordering our food. I had to go to the bar to re-order the drink as the waiter had forgot about me! The starters were ok, nothing special but very expensive. I was unable to eat my main course (steak £17.50) as it was quite simply "the poorest cut of fatty and tough meat that I have ever been served in my life". I was refunded for my main course and the drinks as a goodwill gesture. However, our evening was ruined and I will certainly NOT be returning to this overpriced pub again!
