If you can avoid communicating with the owner then it might be possible to enjoy a visit. He was sarcastic and rude to members of our party and appears to enjoy putting people down. My experience was that he is a most unpleasant person. He grimly calculated which person in our group had the deepest pocket and then sucked up to them. In fact I resented the fact of our party paying a large bill, not for reason of the meal being unpleasant, but because it was helping to keep this man in business. It's time he quits the trade and pursues his other interests which may bring him less into contact with other people. I would not go back if I was paid to.

You must visit this gem of a restaurant. Hosted by Frederick Desmette a perfect host serving the most exquisite cuisine - just cannot be faulted.

Cute location. Owner of restaurant was a one man show; host, waiter, chef and owner. Nice guy as long as you don't ask for any specfic dietary requirements. Spent most of the evening in fear of upsetting him. Food ordered was nice when it arrived. If you love meat and wine great place to go but if you're T Total like us chances are you'll starve or get treated like you're invisible by the owner. What with the old fashioned country decor and strange odour emitting from the corner table it was rather a forgettable evening. We were told the owner would be a top conversationalist, the only words we could get were bill please and to get a smile from him you'd think we'd have to pay extra. Definetly wont be going back there.
