Have been meaning to return ever since but keep forgetting. Will definitely be going this year. The event is relaxed, friendly and low-key and takes place within 3 small, local sites, involving a small amount of walking. I had a fantastic day with my two children. The actors who played the parts of the tudors (including Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII) were excellent and stayed in character the whole day. Delightful and amusing. They happily posed for photos and were very impressive. The court characters wandered about the site, looking and sounding very authentic, as well as participating in the planned events, including a banquet with Henry and all 6 of his wives and a Q&A session. We trekked down the road for an armour and fighting display and enjoyed the court jester's antics at Queen Elizabeth's court. Overall, fasciniating, fun, and free (apart from the travel)and right next to the town and shopping centre so very handy, too.
