The Mall Norwich has begun its Christmas countdown and with only 10 weeks until the big day, the city shopping centre will be hosting a season of festivities for its shoppers.

The main event of the Mall’s Magical Christmas Experience is the light’s switch on, which takes place on Thursday 12th November, with not one, not two but three special guests! Britain’s Got Talent’s most unique, Greek-inspired performers, Stavros Flatley, will be taking the stage to perform their latest routines and get the party started. Family favourite X-factor contestant, Eoghan Quigg, will be singing a selection of songs and the main man himself; Father Christmas will be making a personal appearance with his hard-working elves.

Stavros Flately and Eoghan Quigg will be meeting the audience after the light switch on. Other activities throughout the evening will include: Santa’s reindeers, a wandering magician, face painting next to the Ask Me Point, Heart Angels and the Mall Monster giving out goody bags. The Holiday Inn Norwich North will be serving Mulled wine and Mince pies, while shoppers will be further entertained by local Christmas choirs and Heart FM’s Toby Anstis. Late night shopping will continue until 9 pm.

From the 5th November mini shoppers can visit the busiest man of the season at Santa’s Grotto, which will be located on level one near Argos. Prices are £3.99 for a visit and a gift and £5.99 for a photo, gift and visit.

The Mall Norwich will also see the return of its Christmas Craft market, from Monday 30th November until Christmas Eve. Stalls will feature a host of handcrafted produce from jewellery, ceramics and Christmas cards to handmade decorations and personalised gifts. On display will be a selection of locally produced goods, including beers and handmade soaps.

The Craft Market will take place during normal opening hours and will be located outside Boots on level one of the city shopping centre. All traders attending the Christmas market are licensed to sell goods and hold all the necessary health and safety certification.

The icing on the Christmas cake this winter is The Mall Norwich’s gift wrapping service, which will be available from Saturday 12th to Wednesday 23rd December. All donations will be presented to Clic Sargent; a charity who care for children and young people with cancer and their families – in hospital and in the community. The volunteers will be from Clic Sargent and will be on hand throughout the Christmas period to beautifully wrap festive gifts.
