Started in show business as an impressionist. Presented television pop music show Dance Party Roof (1958). Appeared regularly in BBC Scotland’s White Heather Club. His own TV series The Andy Stewart Show began in 1963. Radio shows included 17 Sauchie Street and Scotch Corner.
