Events in Bubbenhall Nestling close to the River Avon in the County of Warwickshire is the village of Bubbenhall that can trace its history back to a mention in the Domesday Book when it was more of a settlement than the popular village it is today. In the 17th century this area relied heavily on agriculture for its economic growth, the village even boasted a couple of mills but time and lack of use saw the last of these go in the 1960’s. It was around this time that the village saw the laying of the pipework that would eventually provide water to their homes! Until that time water was collected from “The Spout” an historic feature in the village that until that time supplied many of the local residents with their water supply. Such was the reliance on the villagers for this their main water supply that today they have made “The Spout” into a picturesque feature in the village. Today the village is a thriving community, it is ideally located for those that have to travel, with the motorway network close by whilst for those that have to travel further afield there is Coventry Airport in close proximity.
