St Neots is a large Market Town on the River Great Ouse in the county of Cambridgeshire and home to over 27000 people. This historical town has many remnants from times gone by from the Coaching Inns, the Market Place that has hosted markets for 800 years, to the church that’s centuries old with 130’ tower and ten bells. The busy town has many picturesque open spaces to blow away the cobwebs such as Riverside Park, with the River Great Ouse running through it, step over the artists and rest a spell under one of the many weeping willow trees, or perhaps climb aboard a boat on one of the lakes, with footpaths and bridges to follow, there are River Boat trips available, even rod danglers are not left out with the challenge of hooking a fish. The River Mill Marina is an idyllic spot to amble along the river, or a few miles away is the enchanting 18th Century Houghton Mill, a working Water Mill where the interesting art of milling is expertly shared, spread over five floors the weather boarded Mill is the centre of any masterpiece, or perhaps take a walk in the meadows ……….St Neots is a treasured gift that’s perfectly wrapped, and waiting to be shared.
