Hope Cove is a picture perfect ancient fishing village in South Devon, two villages combined into one, with Inner and Outer Hope which are peppered with cob thatched and stone cottages , winding lanes lead to breath stealing views of the Cove and beaches, which are skirted with cliffs. A visit to the old cobbled square at Inner Hope sees enchanting cottages and is close to the South Devon Coastal Path, with unbeatable views of historic coast and a wealth of wildlife, rest a spell and look carefully as the sight of Dolphins and Seals are often seen. Steeped in history with whispered tales of Pirates and Smugglers although they have all gone there is plenty of room for sailing of the pleasure kind, or for an adrenaline rush perhaps the thought of hiring a power boat or jet ski will quell the thirst for adventure. The wonder of marine creatures can be explored in the rock pools. Or perhaps the invitation to dive in glorious waters and re-discover the many shipwrecks found here will be readily accepted. The tiny church of St Clements stands high on a cliff looking out to sea where in 1588 saw one of the ships of the Spanish Armada sink
