Just 15 minutes' walk from Brancaster's vast stretches of sandy beach (pictured), backed by sand dunes and a renowned golf course, this spacious and comfortable, former 18th century village inn enjoys a delightful walled garden and suntrap patio. Of outstanding natural beauty, the coast and countryside are wonderful for swimming, wind surfing, golf, cycling, riding and bird watching (Tichwell RSPB reserve can be reached along the beach at low tide). A centre for sailing, nearby Brancaster Staithe also offers boat trips to Scolt Head Island nature reserve. A wealth of places to visit includes Holkham Hall and Sandringham and there are pretty villages to explore – Burnham Market's Georgian square is lined with charming cottages, galleries, elegant shops and restaurants (3 miles). Hunstanton's traditional seaside attractions, funfair and Sea Life Centre are 7 miles. Holkham's glorious sands (6 miles) are backed by a pine forest, popular for picnics and cycling, extending to Wells-next-the-Sea. A shop and pub serving food lie within 450 yards and nearby restaurants serve locally caught seafood.
