As you approach Farringford along the long sweeping drive flanked by mature trees, you will appreciate why Alfred Lord Tennyson chose this immensely charming house as his home.

A great deal of the West Wight has been designated as 'an area of outstanding natural beauty' and with Farringford, set in 33 acres of parkland, boasting uninterrupted views over the downland, it makes a perfect retreat for holidays or breaks throughout the year.

Farringford has retained its immense charm and period features, providing guests with a traditional quality service and all the facilities and comforts one would expect from a hotel in the new millenium.

Farringford offers 4 premier Tennyson rooms, 10 main house standard rooms and 4 cottage rooms set just a few yards behind the main building. All stylishly decorated, all rooms are en suite with television, telephones and tea and coffee facilities.

Farringford is proud to be the only hotel on the Island with its own professionally-designed 9 hole, par 3 private golf course, an interesting and teasing design with no green fees for residents.
