The Bateman Arms, an 18th Century three storey Inn with rooms, is situated in the village of Shobdon in the unspoilt County of Herefordshire on the English, Welsh Border. The listed building is of fairly striking and unusual appearance with some of the last of the old cobbled paving outside its front. Recently renovated the Inn offers a wealth of character. You can sit in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the bar with its oak beams and large fireplace which hosts log fires in the winter and where we serve a selection of light meals.
The Restaurant offers an à la carte menu specialising in a range of classical and traditional dishes complimented by an excellent selection of fine wines. The majority of our dishes are prepared using top quality local produce with an emphasis on organic dairy products and vegetables together with rare breed meats.
Bedrooms. Each of our three rooms is furnished in the traditional style with remote control television, tea and coffee making facilities, bath robes and hair dryer.
