Reading, Berkshire

Review of Reading by Alfred DiGiacomo on March 4th, 2011
Reading, I have fond memories of Reading. Enjoyed the warm beer at the Wheat Sheaf, The Oak Sheaf and the The White Hart. Danced with the ladies at the Olympia Dance Hall, went to Mass at St. Mary's and I had a girl friend in Caversham. This was from November 1943to June 1944 when I was shipped to France. I am a veteran of World War 2 and was stationed near Reading England with U.S. Ninth Air Force. I kept a daily Diary in which I recorded my experiences and had it published as A Soldier's Diary. My visits to Reading are part of the story. Wish I could be there.
