Matlock, Derbyshire

Review of Matlock by val nixon on August 27th, 2007
We have just arrived back from a lovely weekend stay at Alison House. The gardens and grounds were delightful and very relaxing, lawn croquet, walled garden, and quite pituresque areas for reading, all with excellent views. Breakfasts were a good choice of healthy alternitives, plus, plenty of choices from the cooked items. The room was extremely spacious, with excellent views from all 3 windows, very clean and furnished to a high standard (although we were only in a standard room) and good value for money. The staff were very helpful and courteous. There was also a selection of fruit to chose from in the library, along with many books. Our main purpose of stay, was a relaxing one, which was achieved, above and behond. A definate choice of return in the future.
