Middleton, Leicestershire

Review of Middleton by Carl Stasiak on May 1st, 2007
Middleton is a quiet village on the edge of the green and lush Welland Valley. The pretty houses and cottages are mainly built of the local Weldon ironstone with its warm amber glow. There are 3 pubs and a small hotel located within easy walking distance where you can sit in their gardens or have a meal. Cottingham is also a village attached to Middleton making one large village. Both are quiet and peaceful with the odd horse or tractor passing through. There are 3 bed & breakfasts in Middleton and 2 in Cottingham all with reasonable rates for the passing traveller or tourist.
