Born 1829. Died 1890 - Co-founder of the Salvation Army.
Daughter of a Wesleyan preacher. Met William Booth and married in 1855. Gifted preacher. In 1864 began work in London that led to founding of the Salvation Army. She began the Army’s women’s work. Funeral attended by 36,000 people.
