Norwich Airport is situated four and a half miles from Norwich Town Centre and is easily accessed by Rail into Norwich, and by Bus and Taxi, for those wishing to drive it’s well signposted and connects to many major roads including the A140, A47, M11, and A146. On arrival at the Airport there is a choice of either Long or Short Stay car parking together with designated parking spaces for Disabled Passengers. The Airport has an interesting history and was used by the RAF and the United States Air Force, there is a Memorial and interesting display close to the Airport. The Airport handles flights to both Domestic and International destinations, and helicopters also fly from here to the North Sea Gas Platforms. The Terminal Building is on one level enabling better access for Disabled Passengers , and there are also specially adapted toilets . The Information Desk will help with enquiries on flights, Car Parking and the airport facilities. Bureau De Change for Currency Exchange and Travellers Cheques, and ATM’s that accept major Debit and Credit Cards are available. The Café’s, Bars and Restaurant offers a variety of drinks and snacks to suit most tastes, and the Departure Lounge has Video and Arcade Games to help pass the time. For a little comfort there is always the Executive Lounge, where complimentary Drinks and Snacks are served together with Internet access to help stay connected, for passengers who require fax or photocopying facilities these are also on offer. There are Baby Changing facilities, a designated Play Area, and a Nursing Mothers Room to keep younger flyers happy, or for last minute essentials there are shops, and the Tax and Duty Free Shopping sees spirits, wines and gifts jostling for attention. Car Hire companies have desks in the main concourse.
